2. How We Use Your Data

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Your data is used strictly for:

  • Editorial Process: Managing submissions, assigning reviewers, and communicating decisions.
  • Publication: If accepted, your Name, Affiliation, and Email will be published alongside your article as part of the scientific record.
  • Communication: Sending system alerts (e.g., "Review Completed") or journal updates.
  • Indexing: Sending metadata to indexing services (Google Scholar, Scopus, etc.) to ensure your work is discoverable.

3. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We share your information only in the following academic contexts:

  • With Editors & Reviewers: To evaluate your manuscript. (Note: Reviewers do not see author names during Double-Blind review, but Editors do).
  • With Indexing Bodies: Once published, article metadata is pushed to global repositories.
  • Legal Requirements: If required by Indian law enforcement under the IT Act, 2000.

4. Data Security

We implement robust security measures to protect your data:

  • Encryption: All data transmission is secured via SSL/TLS protocols.
  • Access Control: Only authorized editors and staff have access to user data.
  • Backups: Regular encrypted backups are maintained to prevent data loss.

While we strive to protect your data, no internet transmission is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential.

5. Cookies Policy

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and functional cookies to improve site performance.

Type Purpose
Session Cookies Required to maintain your login state as you navigate the dashboard.
CSRF Token Security cookie to prevent Cross-Site Request Forgery attacks.

We do not use tracking cookies for third-party advertising.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you have the following rights:

  • Access & Correction: You can view and edit your profile data via your Dashboard at any time.
  • Right to Erasure (Account): You may request the deletion of your user account if you have no active submissions.
Exception for Published Authors:
Once a manuscript is published, the author's name, affiliation, and the article itself become part of the permanent Scientific Record. To maintain integrity and indexing continuity, published articles and associated author metadata cannot be deleted, even if the user account is closed.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services.
Manuscripts that are rejected are archived for 2 years for audit purposes, then deleted from our active servers.
